This Smith Sectric Bakelite wall clock is a fine example of the the classic design produced by Smiths Electric Clocks Ltd. A masculine looking clock with an attractive patina to the face, which would be a stylish addition to any 1940s or industrial interior decor.
First produced in 1937, this is an early example which is indicated by the second “S” had not yet been added to the branding “SMITH(S)” on the dial of the clock and by the exaggerated “T” in the word “SECTRIC”.
Professionally repaired with a silent Seiko quartz battery movement to replace the burnt out electric motor.
