Patricia Garrett was a renowned American studio ceramics artist famous for her lifelike, trompe l'œil botanical reproductions of fruits and vegetables. Operating her iconic studio, in Berkeley, California from 1980 until it ceased production in 2003, she created highly collectible, functional art pottery that seamlessly blended realism with minimalist elegance. These are unmarked but I have been told they are attributed to Patricia Garrett, but should be only taken as "in the manner of" Patricia Garrett as there is no physical provenance.
Now highly collectable, these very rare salt and pepper shakers are hand finished, the perfect Christmas stocking filler for grown ups.
Larger than life, the bigger of the two is approximately 6cm x 4.5cm x 4cm the other is approximately 5cm x 4.75cm x 3.75cm.
Condition is “good vintage” with minimum use related wear, with no chips, scratches or cracks.
