This unique and beautiful, cute and endearing, vintage artwork of flying ducks by highly respected Batik artist Rosi Robinson came to my attention at a local auction where I instantly fell in love with it.
I contacted the artist, who is now Vice Chair and the Overseas Representative of the Batik Guild. She told me she painted the picture based on a photograph taken by a friend in the Highlands of Scotland. The painting was produced in the late 80s and has aged beautifully to this impressionistic view, with a warm, muted pallet that means that will sit well in a calm, modern interior, with ochres, cream, and pastel browns.
