A pair of lovely antique candlesticks, very much in the Arts and Crafts movement style of the late 19th century and early 1900s. Stylised bamboo-form in appearance with a large brass base, drip tray and detailing on the stem. These are weighty and very sturdy.
Just over 21cm tall, these are tall enough to make a statement with an approximately 33mm opening to take a decent candle. The heavy brass base is 14cm at it’s widest.
The condition is very good for their age as you can see clearly from the photos. Sympathetically polished to reveal how they were intended to be when they were made, while leaving some patina to show their age and leave definition.
