This is one of a selection of different 1960s East German Vases that you can find on my shop.
Created by the state owned VEB Haldensleben pottery of the GDR in East Germany in the 1960s.
With a distinctive Fat Lava style the dark, matte, textured surface of the main body of the vase juxtaposed with the smooth glossy linier curves of the white glaze makes this a delight to behold.
Measuring H: approx 18cm
The condition of the vase is “good vintage” and there are no chips or cracks with minor age-related wear and some scuffs to the matte finish which is to be expected from these vases due to the porous nature of the glaze.
